Synthesis and properties of photochromic polymer contain spiro-oxazine induced by ultraviolet light

چکیده

The special photochromic mechanism of spiro-oxazine (SO) refers to low thermostability and weak fatigue resistance. High light transmittance biocompatibility are the two advantages polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), but it does not perform well in terms tensile strength. Here, a new type SO (1-(4'methacryloyloxybutyl)- 3,3-dimethyl-9'-hydroxy- 3H-spiro-naphthyl oxazine) was synthesized introduced as monomer into methyl (MMA) system, which is an environment-friendly method. Compared with other polymers that have been reported, this material mainly following areas: (1) active group N-alkyl chain copolymerized PMMA, fading rate polymer dropped by 76.3% compared SO. (2) Physical chemical methods were used improve flexibility PMMA-SO. strength has reduced 3.92 MPa. It also high elongation 269.84% at break. (3) PMMA-SO still significant resistance after 25 cycles UV visible irradiation. In future, potential applications fields smart glass, data storage, biomimetic materials, so on.
